Vesta

Igniting taste buds with the goodness of fresh, local, fare.

Vesta is about many things. It incorporates a philosophy
of simple, honest food and a commitment to re-discover
the enjoyment and pleasure in the food we eat. Our
approach is to highlight the inherent goodness in fresh,
seasonal and sustainable ingredients. We are dedicated
to present our fare as a showcase for the best regional
produce of the Blue Mountains and surrounding area.

Vesta is housed within the former Blackheath bakery built in
the late 19th Century. The bakery was discovered in 1994 by
Phillip Searle and Barry Ross who created Australia’s seminal
restaurant, Vulcans. Phillip employed his extensive culinary
knowledge to fashion a gastronomy based on the Bakery’s
wood-fired scotch oven.

Today, we continue with long-time traditions. We base
our menu on the cooking system of slow, radiant heat
produced by the wood-fired oven. For those who enjoy
and expect quality food and drink, Vesta is the
embodiment of that vision.
